Description:
An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to join the Renal Dialysis Unit team within the Division of Urinary Tract and Vascular Services.
About the Service
Bradford is a rapidly developing diverse and multicultural city with easy access to the major cities of Leeds and Manchester and close proximity to the Yorkshire Dales. Renal services in Bradford are provided by a multidisciplinary team that includes doctors, nurses (including specialist nurses for diabetes, advanced kidney disease, dialysis, dialysis access, dialysis education and renal transplantation), dietitians, pharmacists, psychologists, dialysis technicians, research nurses, a clinical audit officer and a cultural and health improvement officer. The service continues to grow and currently supports a dialysis cohort of 300 patients and a transplant cohort of 420 patients
This position is intended to allow the successful candidate the opportunity to expand their managerial and leadership skills and to progress in their career.
We are looking for a proactive, self-motivated and experienced nurse to work as part of the Renal Dialysis team.
We are looking to appoint a dynamic and skilled individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, to work as clinical Shift leader, and to provide visible nursing leadership and an effective and high quality patient focused service.
It is essential that you have a good understanding of the challenges and the skills required to support patients, families, careers and staff within renal dialysis environment. You must also demonstrate excellent organizational skills, an understanding of change management processes, and the ability to inspire, lead and develop a team. You must also demonstrate excellent clinical leadership skills, a strong team management approach and be open to developing and progressing new ideas and innovative ways of working.
