We currently have an exciting opportunity to join our Finance team as the Site Accountant. This role will provide key internal stakeholders with quality management information relating to site operations with some oversight of Australia New Zealand. The position will be responsible for providing commercial support in the development and implementation of site plans, strategies, commercial advice and interpretation of operating performance.
Responsibilities:
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Accurate, timely and meaningful financial information to meet management and corporate requirements
- Monthly performance reporting on materials, labour, overheads, manufacturing and logistics variances to plan
- Analysis and reporting on Inventory levels, including adequacy of stock obsolescence provisions and analysis, and understanding of inventory write-offs. Includes discussion with site operations teams
- Processing of month end Journals in an accurate and timely manner. Work with the businesses on improving the use of purchase orders to limit the amount of accruals required
- Cost centre budgeting and forecasting, and variance analysis to actual results
- Leading annual operating budgeting process (AOP), including supporting the development of productivity initiative
- Development of annual standard cost budgets by SKU. Ensure the BOM’s for Production and AOP are maintained and aligned where possible
- Support the Operations team in the maintenance, testing and improvement of the internal control environment, implementing process improvements
- Responsible for leading the sub-process control activities by participating in the risk assessment, closing gaps as part of risk remediation within the agreed timeline, Monitor the GCS results quarterly to remediate failed controls and effective control design within sub-process
Qualifications:
Responsibilities:
- Tertiary qualification with a professional accounting qualification (CA/CPA/CIMA)
- Strong analytical skills & the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
- Effective presentation and communication skills
- Ability to work with people of different levels of the organization
- Excellent strategic thinking skills
- A minimum 4 years finance experience within an Multi National Corporation environment
- FMCG exposure preferred
