Averton is an experienced and award-winning homebuilder, community developer and construction management company and we’re looking to add a Site Manager to our construction team.
The Site Assistant is responsible for supporting the Site Manager with all onsite activities, overseeing trades, and upholding the safety and quality of Averton construction sites.

Responsibilities:

  • Be familiar with the project plans, specifications, and schedules with a view to identifying and reporting potential construction problems
  • Ensure the scope of works and standard site expectations are followed by all parties
  • Maintain a safe job site including the completion of the required safety assessments for all parties on site
  • Aid the site manager in monitoring labour, material, and equipment
  • Aid in service and warranty duties from time to time
  • Standard working conditions will be on an active construction site daily, in site-office for construction coordination as required, lifting and moving of materials regularly, and manual labour as required
  • Operate light power tools on a daily basis to complete required assigned tasks from site managers
  • Ensure the job site is always kept in a clean and organized manner, including site cleans as required
  • Identify and report contractor non-compliance with safety, health, environmental and quality standards
  • Maintain control and responsibility for the security and safe operation of Averton owned and/or externally rented equipment on the job site
  • Aiding in the opening of the jobsite at beginning of the day and securing the jobsite at the end of the workday
