YOUR CHALLENGE
As part of the construction of two large scale battery storage projects (Hagersville, 300MW and Tilbury, 80 MW), Boralex is looking for site coordinators (multiples positions available on both projects).
Reporting to the site manager, you will be responsible for monitoring the electrical/mechanical/civil work of the of the Hagersville storage project located in the Town of Hagersville, Ontario, and of the Tilbury storage project located in the Municipality of Lakeshore, Ontario.
YOUR SKILLS
- College or bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical or civil engineering, or other equivalent experience.
- Experience and/or interest in construction site supervision.
- Relevant experience in the construction of renewable project is an asset.
- Ability to report and document information accurately and timely.
- Fast learner and able to meet deadlines.
- Excellent communicator and team player, able to work autonomously, rigorously and results-oriented.
- Keen sense of organization and priority management.
- Organizational skills, attention to detail and excellent critical analysis skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to use the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and MS Project.
- Valid driver’s license.

YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE AS FOLLOWS:
- Prioritize safety, environment, and quality, and promote a strong safety culture across all activities performed on site by contractors and equipment suppliers.
- Carry out regular inspections and monitor activities related to the construction of the battery storage project with a focus on electrical/mechanical/electrical works (depending on the position).
- Maintain contact with contractors to ensure compliance with health and safety, the environment, costs, quality control and the work schedule.
- Participate in drafting and processing of all necessary reports on all work, such as work progress, monitoring of supply, labour, material, additional work, damage to property and environment, technical deviations, technical questions and answers and those relating to quality system procedures.
- Ensure that the project complies with legal and regulatory requirements, the environmental management plan and permits associated with the project.
- Audit the work of contractors according to plans and specifications.
- Actively participate in site meetings.
