JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Coffs Harbour Bypass is a 14-kilometre stretch of road that will bypass of the Coffs Harbour urban area, from England’s Road in the South to Sapphire in the North and is a once-in-a-generation project for the Mid-North Coast community.
As work is increasing, we have now a vacant position for a Site Engineer to join our team.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor of Engineering, major in Civil and/or Structural.
  • Ability to interpret designs for construction implementation.
  • Experience with cost tracking and providing input into work programs and performance of teams and subcontractors.
  • Proven verbal, written, interpersonal communication skills and ability to develop and maintain diverse stakeholder relationships.
  • Proactive and innovative approach.

Responsibilities:

  • Minimise construction risks by identifying control requirements and apply to scope of works.
  • Assist with the procurement of project materials and letting of subcontracts.
  • Oversee site construction works ensuring quality progress on a daily basis.
  • Liaise with site supervisors, subcontractors and suppliers to guarantee compliance with the program.
  • Coordinate any interface works with other teams - e.g. Traffic, Pavements and structural works to ensure smooth interfaces.
  • Manage costs associated with scope of work, including tracking costs accurately and maintaining cost forecast.
  • Assist in the preparation of Work Procedures, Inspection & Test Plans, Safe Work Method Statements, Construction Procedures and Site Access Plans.
  • Oversee aspects of Safety, Environmental and Quality across the scope of works.
