Committed to quality and safety, we are currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Site Engineer (Technologist) to join our dynamic team.
As a Senior Electrical Site Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership, overseeing electrical installations, and ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and project requirements on construction sites. You will lead a team of electrical engineers and technicians, collaborate closely with project managers, and liaise with clients to ensure the successful execution of projects.
- Lead and manage a team of electrical engineers and technicians to ensure the timely and quality completion of electrical installations.
- Supervise and coordinate electrical activities on construction sites, including planning, execution, and inspection.
- Review technical drawings, specifications, and other documentation to ensure compliance with project requirements and regulatory standards.
- Provide technical guidance and support to project teams, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify and address any electrical issues or deviations from project plans.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment in accordance with relevant regulations.
- Collaborate with project managers to develop project schedules, monitor progress, and address any challenges or delays.
- Liaise with clients, architects, and engineers to address technical queries, resolve issues, and ensure client satisfaction.
- National Diploma: Electrical Engineering (Heavy Current)
- Professional Engineer registration with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) and The South African Council for the Project and Construction Management Professions (SACPCMP) is preferred.
- 5-10 years of experience in High Voltage AIS substations, Medium Voltage reticulation networks, Medium & High Voltage Overhead lines & Quality Assurance of aforementioned systems.
- In-depth knowledge of South African electrical codes, regulations, and industry standards.
