Description:

JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking experienced and dedicated Site Inspectors to join our team. The Site Inspectors will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and compliance of civil, pavement, and asphalt works for a specific project, with a focus on airfield infrastructure.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in site supervision and inspection of civil, pavement, and asphalt works, preferably in airfield infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques related to civil engineering and pavement/asphalt works.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards, codes, and specifications for airfield construction and infrastructure projects.
  • Certification in quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) or relevant training preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular inspections of civil, pavement, and asphalt works at the project site to ensure compliance with design specifications, drawings, and applicable standards.
  • Monitor construction activities, materials, and workmanship to identify any deviations, defects, or non-conformities and take corrective actions as necessary.
  • Implement all aspects of the quality management systems (QMS) and site supervision activities to maintain high standards of workmanship and safety.
  • Collaborate with contractors, subcontractors, and project teams to resolve technical issues, address concerns, and ensure smooth progress of works.
  • Review construction plans, method statements, and quality control procedures to verify their adequacy and suitability for the project requirements.
  • Document and record all inspection findings, test results, and quality assurance activities in accordance with project documentation and reporting protocols.
  • Assist in the coordination of material testing, laboratory analysis, and certification processes to verify compliance with project specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to construction teams and junior staff members to enhance their understanding of project requirements and quality standards.
  • Participate in project meetings, site visits, and progress reviews to communicate inspection findings, address concerns, and ensure alignment with project objectives.
  • Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations, policies, and procedures throughout the construction activities.
