Description:

Cross River Rail will transform the way we travel to, from and through Brisbane in the future. It will be a catalyst for 10 years of wider rail transformation across the whole of South East Queensland and it is already playing a key role in how we prepare for the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Cross River Rail is a new 10.2km rail line including 5.9km of twin tunnels running under the Brisbane River and CBD. It includes the delivery of four new underground stations, two new above-ground stations, accessibility rebuilds for six stations, the construction of three new stations on the Gold Coast, and the introduction of a new world-class ‘ETCS’ signalling system.
This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to work on one of Australia’s largest infrastructure projects and to be a part of something that will leave a lasting legacy for generations to come.
About the Role
As the Site Integration & Interface Manager, you will be the vital link between Civil and Mechanical construction and Electronic Rail Systems Commissioning. Your role is crucial in ensuring handover activities meet contractual and project requirements. You will collaborate with key stakeholders, including Queensland Government departments and contracted delivery partners, to lead configuration state management, integration risk and opportunity management, issue resolution frameworks and assurance change management processes.
Working as part of the European Train Control Systems (ETCS) team you will be the key interface between teams for construction delivery handover managing a best for project approach. This opportunity is offered as a contract until late 2026 with possible extension.

Responsibilities:

  • Project manage the identification, documentation, scoping, plan and active implementation of project activities that will optimise outcomes and provide clear pathways for execution
  • Proactively manage and report on integration and interface risks and issues, developing and executing mitigation measures.
  • Provide strategic advice and collaborate with commercial and technical teams to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Provide facilitation, guidance, support and review of integration and handover deliverables produced by suppliers and project stakeholders to achieve project obligations.
  • Prepare project plans with strategic outcomes, ensuring efficient decision-making within governance frameworks.
  • Facilitate and provide input into project working groups, ensuring transparent communication across all parties
  • Review management plans and design documents related to integration, handover, and key interfaces.
  • Measure, manage and provide regular progress reporting on integration and handover activities.
  • Support the preparation of documentation, correspondence, presentations, reports and briefing papers.
  • Provide mentorship and leadership to Project Advisors and Project Coordinators.
