As Site Manager, you will be responsible and accountable for leading the entire operation of our Pacific site based in Whakatu, near Hastings. Your impact is seen through optimising revenue and financial performance of the plant by managing costs and driving cash generation activities across your site. With approximately 700 processing staff at peak season across day and evening shifts, Pacific contributes significantly to Silver Fern Farms overall production volumes. Pacific services a vast network of livestock suppliers throughout the eastern region of the North Island.

THE KEY IMPACT AREAS OF THIS ROLE ARE TO:
- Build and lead the site’s short and long-term plans in conjunction with the Operations Leadership Team
- Drive commercial performance; understand profitability levers and risks within the business and making changes as necessary to achieve objectives
- Drive operational efficiencies to optimise revenue and instill a cost focus to achieve robust KPI’s
- Provide proactive and strategically aligned leadership to develop high performing teams and establish and grow the site’s culture.
- Drive activity that promotes SFF, and Pacific Site, as leading in both Health & Safety and Compliance areas.
- Own asset management for the site, considering longer-term capital requirements
- Lead process improvement and attainment of excellence through the Silver Fern Farms “Streamline” continuous improvement programme
- Ensure a constant focus on growing team member capability across all levels
