SUMMARY OF MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education equivalent to a Master’s Degree in Business, Science or Engineering disciplines.
  • A minimum of six years of responsible material’s experience to include three years of related people management experience.
  • Understanding of and experience in global logistics.
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with others as a member of a team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work as a member of a Management team to accomplish organizational objectives and goals.
  • Demonstrated computer skills preferably spreadsheets, word processing, database and other applicable software programs.
  • Experience in development and operation of ERP systems, ideally Oracle experience an advantage.
  • Experience of Advanced Planning Systems, ideally Blue Yonder an advantage.

Responsibilities:

SUMMARY OF DUTIES

Provides management and direction for the materials process to meet the profitability goals of the division. Manage all personnel and activities of the Shipping, Receiving, Label Control, Planning and Purchasing areas.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensures that safety standards are followed to provide a safe working environment in all Supply Chain areas.
  • Provides leadership and coaching to Supply Chain functions – Planning, Purchasing, Warehouse/ Shipping/ Receiving
  • Ensures that Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for Supply Chain are met.
  • Support and improve the S&OP process.
  • Responsible for continuous improvement in the Supply Chain function.
  • Identify opportunities and support Global Purchasing in achieving Material Costs Savings Targets
  • Report on PPV for Galway site, ensuring procurement process offers ‘value for money’
  • Hold appropriate values of inventory in line with MRP parameters, ensuring that inventory control policy and procedures are being met
  • Manage and support outside service providers to meet business requirements.
  • Responsible for inventory accuracy (raw, WIP and finished goods) and cycle count program accuracy.
  • Act as point of escalation with vendor supply issues.
  • Maintain and develop ERP system to optimize customer service and inventory costs.
  • Develop standardized processes in Procurement where possible to improve efficiencies.
  • Liaise closely with Operations, Vendors, R&D, project teams to ensure orders are delivered on time and queries are responded to in a timely and agreed timeframe.
  • Leadership responsibilities to include interviewing, hiring, training, performance evaluation, assigning and coordinating work assignments, etc.
  • Develop and maintain a positive work climate and the overall team effort of the department.
  • Support deployment and training for Advanced Planning System
  • Performs other related tasks, as required.
