POSITION TITLE: Site Protection Officer
STATUS/HOURS: W-2 Employee: Part-Time, & Flex Positions Available

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Site Protection Officer (SPO) performs site protection services for corporate, physical security programs. The SPO acts as a deterrent to crime and will detect suspicious, unsafe, or criminal acts, which may be a threat to the property or resources onsite. This position will report observations and perceived threats to a supervisor.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: GED or High School Diploma.
  • Experience: 12 months of security experience desired, prior military preferred.
  • Must have valid US state issued driver’s license at hire and throughout employment.
  • Current CA Guard Card.
  • As a condition of employment, employee must successfully complete a background investigation and drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Must be able to walk and stand for prolonged periods of time up to and including an entire shift.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide superior customer service-focused security.
  • Secure and protect all the client’s company assets.
  • Respond to emergency and non-emergency situations with a prioritized sense of urgency and maintain open communication flow with management staff.
  • Provide access-control utilizing sound judgment and client provided tools such as access control systems or access control lists and logs.
  • Perform security patrols observing for unauthorized vehicles, personnel, fires, trespassers, unauthorized activity, barrier integrity, and other related duties as assigned.
  • Detect, investigate, and deny access of unauthorized persons.
  • Report all incidents, accidents, or medical emergencies.
  • Recognize and escalate to management all safety hazards and security vulnerabilities detected through the course of your shift.
  • Perform field safety and security audits (checklists) and escalate findings to management.
  • Complete all paperwork and reports as necessary, including but not limited to a daily activity report.
