Description:
SITE RECEIVER
Reporting directly to Skeena’s Site Controller, the Site Receiver is the primary site-based staff member to aid in supporting Skeena’s operational field sites and development projects - warehousing, supply-chain, and logistics - activities.
Responsibilities:
The Site Receiver performs a wide range of duties including some or all the following:
- Receiving, issuing, and storing material goods and other shipments.
- Organizing and tracking of materials inventory held at the site warehouse.
- Identifying and presenting opportunities for process improvement in both verbal and written format.
- Developing and implementing purchasing procedures with procurement team.
- Working alongside project and operations managers in the purchasing and negotiation of equipment and materials, products, and services.
- Assisting in negotiation of certain contracts and maintaining good relations with suppliers.
- Purchasing duties as required to ensure timely and quality purchases of material and supplies.
- Executing and demonstrating a strong understanding of usage/demand levels.
- Using supplier pricing files and internal communication systems to ensure pricing is accurate.
- Analyzing all documents for accuracy and completion.
- Creating and entering purchase orders into ERP, track and correct OS&D’s, evaluate and correct vendor performance.
- Establishing logistics of delivery schedules, monitoring progress, and contacting clients and suppliers to resolve problems; expedite shipments when necessary.
- Resolving invoicing discrepancies and delivery issues.
- Assisting in the return of material and follow up to see that credit invoices are received and properly applied.
- All other reasonable duties as required.
