MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5+ years of experience as a site reliability, DevSecOps, or similar role
- Substantial teamwork experience with code reviews and retros
- Practical experience in building and scaling Cloud based applications
- Experience in platform architecture, modular monoliths, micro-services, and containerization
- Strong user focus and web development experience
BONUS QUALIFICATIONS:
- You worked in multiple dev teams with different setups, practices, and stacks
- You have a degree in computer science, information systems, application programming, or similar
- You worked on e-commerce platforms and online marketplaces
- You worked with international B2B payment processing
- You worked with / built data warehousing technologies
- You have the ambition to become a team leader and shape the team
- You have experience and affinity to coach junior engineers
Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE:
We’re looking for a Site Reliability Engineer to join our software engineering team and co-build our global data commerce platform that makes commercial data sharing easy. As an individual contributor, you will build impactful features for a large international user base and continuously ship high-quality code. Being a proven team player, you’re used to giving and receiving code reviews, quickly learning from senior engineers, and coaching juniors. As a site reliability engineer, you feel highly comfortable tackling challenges together with the team and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
The start date is May 2024, work location is Berlin, base salary starts at €80K gross / annum (based on experience).
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Design, implement, and maintain monitoring and alerting systems to ensure fast error detection and mitigation
- Automation of infrastructure with infrastructure as code and other automation tools to ensure efficient and stable deployments
- Secure our platform by implementing security best practices, establishing access control concepts, and regular audits
- Regular stress and performance testing to identify bottlenecks with the team as soon as they are on the rise
- Engineer a globally distributed data warehouse and fulfillment center for secure data delivery
- You closely collaborate with the founders and colleagues from product, business, and marketing
