Description:

Are you a Site Reliability Engineer with a proven track record of ensuring the reliability, availability and performance of software systems and infrastructure? Are you interested in the outdoors? Have a passion for the Hunting and Shooting industry? If so, consider our Site Reliability Engineer opening at MidwayUSA! This is an in-seat position at our company location in Columbia, MO. Relocation assistance is available for all accepted offers.
What we are looking for:
MidwayUSA is looking for a Site Reliability Engineer to work on different projects to maintain the network and infrastructure of internal and external systems ranging from providing site hosting design, maintenance, scalability, and reliability. This position provides performance, operability, troubleshooting, and network connectivity for MidwayUSA systems. Site Reliability Engineers with MidwayUSA should have operational knowledge of network and routing protocols, knowledge of switch and router configuration and programming, knowledge of wireless system design and integration and have the capability to use Infra-As-Code tooling.

Skills we are looking for:

  • Preferred 2-4 years of enterprise level networking experience in routing, switching, firewalls, and security.
  • Experience with load balancing, website delivery, AWS, DNS, DHCP, and certificate management.
  • Familiarity with microservices architecture and container orchestration.
  • Experience with technologies and tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Vault, Nomad, Consul or Docker.
  • Background in some programming language such as Python, Go, or Bash.
  • Experience with Splunk and the ability to parse and query data for operational intelligence, performance monitoring, and threat analysis.
  • Experience in Windows Server and Linux Operating Systems.
  • Knowledge of standard methodologies related to security, site reliability, performance optimization, disaster recovery, and compliance.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT field preferred, but will consider an Associates’ degree or equivalent college, with related experience.
