Our client, a leading, global financial market-making firm, is looking for a talented SRE to enhance the reliability, stability, and scalability of their trading systems and infrastructure.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Proficiency in Python with basic SQL querying and scripting
• Ideally possess at least 5 years of experience supporting trading systems
• A collaborator, problem-solver, and self-starter with excellent verbal communication skills (in English)
• A thorough grasp of financial markets
• Excellent time management skills

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• UNIX-based command line writing
• Basic utilization of major network communication protocols in applications
• SQL querying, scripting (any language), network routing and troubleshooting, and OS performance tuning
• Providing initial support and identifying the underlying causes of problems in a dynamic and distributed environment
• Planning and implementing capacity strategies for extensive applications and infrastructure
• Coordinating the migration of applications and the upgrading of infrastructure.
