The Opportunity:
Avantor is currently looking for a motivated Site Services Manager (f/m/d) to join our team in Dublin. In this role, you will be responsible for managing our team of On-Site Associates and to ensure first-class customer service.

Working hours: Monday-Friday, 08:00 - 16:30
The team
Together with your team of 17 Lab Associates (Material Handlers, Team Leads, Data Analysts and Lab Technicians), you will belong to our department Laboratory and Production Services, which supports leading pharmaceutical companies and laboratories all over the world, in Research and Development within the Life Sciences industry.
What we’re looking for
Education: Completed Leaving Certificate and a Degree in a Scientific area or Business Administration

Experience:

  • 4-5 years of people management experience with a track record of recruiting, coaching, mentoring and leading teams to success
  • Experience with customer service or account management
  • Experience delivering results against set KPIs and SLAs
  • Track record of optimizing and improving processes
  • Solid understanding and experience in inventory & stock management as well as purchasing
  • Good understanding of laboratory operations
  • Good understanding of GMP/GLP or related Health & Safety Regulations would be an asset

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders within a matrix environment
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines coupled with sound decision-making skills
  • Ability to manage customer expectations and provide a professional level of customer service
  • Excellent communicator at all levels and enjoys working as part of a team
  • Proficient in data capture, analysis and reporting utilising various IT systems
  • Hands-on mentality keen to understand all processes and if needed, perform operational tasks
  • Full driving license & own car required

  • Provide leadership, development, coaching and motivation to your direct reports
  • Monitor performance against set KPIs and conduct yearly reviews to identify areas of improvement and career development opportunities
  • Ensure adequate training levels for your team at all times
  • Budget and project management as well as scoping of all agreed services related work
  • Improve and develop current operations to increase effectiveness of all site activities
  • Develop new business opportunities and grow the current service offering
  • Coordinate technical activities between customers, lab support teams and third parties
  • Ensure adherence to quality, EHS and other Health&Safety standards; act as a point of contact for audits
  • Provide key metrics in line with relevant KPIs within defined SLAs
