Site Supervisor - 1 Year Contract

Our client offers scrap metal recycling and waste management solutions to all types and sizes of operations from industrial, commercial, government, and not-for-profit organizations to tradespersons, dealers, and individual residents/homeowners.
They are in need of a site supervisor to cover a 1 year paternity leave at their Kitchener location
A straight day shift is required and the wage is $30 per hour

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 1-2 years’ experience as supervisor
• Ability to set and manage priorities in a fast paced workplace
• Experience in metal scrap industry will be considered an asset
• Knowledge of different heavy equipment and forklifts an asset
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Good knowledge of Outlook, MS Office, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel
  Some duties may require working outdoors.

• Work with the scale, unloading customers, sorting, weighing the materials
• Enter data in computer system
• Operate recycling machinery
• Manage, guide, and motivate the work team
• Always ensure that the employees follow health and Safety policies and procedures
• Perform administrative follow-ups of documents related to production and maintenance.
• Act as administrative support to the Site Manager
