Due to our ongoing growth, we are seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to join the Saunders International team, supervising tanks maintenance activities in major hazard facilities. The role will require travel and working away from home representing Saunders International at remote sites predominantly in Queensland.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise construction activity and team members including direct Leading Hands, Tradespeople and Apprentices
- Complete labour task activity time keeping for all Projects assigned daily
- Plans the work and ensures that deadlines are met
- Computer based work overseeing projects
- Report potential industrial relation problems
- Planning and forecasting of manning levels in co-operation with the PM
- Ensure quality work is maintained by all personnel and sub-contractors
- Ensure correct materials ordering procedures are adhered to by checking received materials against packing list and notifying project management team if there are any discrepancies
- Completion of Critical Control Field Verifications
- Provide input to project schedule updates
- Prepare and run toolbox meeting and pre-start meeting with the team.
- Review of existing JSA for further enhancement and present content of JSA to the team
- Review application of procedures against activities in the field to confirm that they are appropriate for the task and that personnel comply. If appropriate, make recommendations to update procedures if they are not practical for implementation.
- Ensure client relations are maintained at a professional and amicable level at all times
- Assist the company wherever possible to ensure the overall health, safety and welfare of all SAUNDERS INTERNATIONAL personnel, contractors or visitors within the Entity.
- Ensure all work practices are carried out in safe manner and complies with all applicable legislation and the SAUNDERS INTERNATIONAL’s Occupational Health Safety and Environmental (OHS&E) policies/ procedures at all times.
- Ensures all plant and equipment onsite is maintained in a serviceable condition and reports any damage to equipment immediately to the Equipment and Stores Lead
