Description:
You will be responsible for the detailed planning of the physical meter installations required to meet the AMP8 business smart meter programme.
This includes the provision of smart meters to household and non-household premises at a rate of 48,000 per year.

Responsibilities:
You will set and deliver a comprehensive installation plan to ensure that we:
- hit our performance commitments and meet our regulatory expectation
- deliver within a constrained financial environment
- coordinate a complex mix of bulk ‘like for like’ straight meter swaps, both external and internal, with ‘dig out’ excavations where required to provide an effective installation plan to meet customer, PR and Highways requirements
- lead a team of Meter Technicians and Planners
- coordinate a team of Installation Excavation teams
- ensure swift and accurate asset data is recorded and transmitted appropriately within the business
- contribute to, and deliver, PR strategies to engage with the wider customer base to encourage both confidence in our performance and water-saving awareness.
You will also:
- progressively develop from ‘project’ to ‘business as usual’, moving the workstream into day-to-day business as we progress through AMP8
- coordinate meter technician, plumber and excavation team activities efficiently to meet our regulatory smart meter target
- deliver the installation programme in line with customer and PR strategies to engage with all customers and enable optimal delivery and customer service to complement C-Mex efforts
- manage health and safety to ensure staff can fulfil their function without risk to themselves, their colleagues, customers, or members of the public
- manage and deliver a budget to target while meeting delivery service standard
- maintain relationships with internal departments to deliver smart meter targets and ensure optimal project delivery and business plan objectives are met
- manage resources, devise and implement cultural changes within the business, and develop appropriate personnel development and staff succession plans.
