JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Manager/Senior Associate- Investigator Grants/Clinical Costing & Forecasting will provide technical, project and operational expertise to support budget, costing, and forecasting work within Clinical Trial Design Capabilities (CTDC). This exciting opportunity will be a linked partnership with our CTDC team in the US to support key deliverables related to Global and Country Level investigator grants budgets, as well as initiatives that enable continuous improvement with our key business partners including but not limited to Clinical Development and Design, Trial Capabilities, and the Project Management Organization. You will support robust efforts to inform clinical trial costing and forecasting, and share your operational expertise to support Knowledge Management, Metrics and KPIs, and analytics support to our CTDC- Data Insights team. The role will report to the Senior Manager Clinical Trial Design Capabilities, based in Cork, Ireland.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelors Degree with 3-5 years Industry Experience, preferably in Clinical development and/or Project Management; or Associate Degree with 5-10 years Industry Experience, preferably in Clinical development and/or project management
  • Strong acumen in understanding how to leverage data to drive critical decisions
  • General understanding of trial design and how it relates to Budgets, Costing and Forecasting
  • Ability to build strong relationships, and keenly provide insights on continuous improvement
  • Ability to anticipate and recognize issues, diagnose root causes, and support work intended to foster an environment of continuous learning and improvement
  • Ability to leverage critical thinking and problem solving skills to both sustain strong relationships with key business partners and for the identification and delivery of process improvements and identify suggested process improvements
  • Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative team environment, both in person and through virtual connections.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Clinical trial operational experience across Therapeutic Areas and Phases
  • Preferred experience: Minimum of 1-3 years experience working with drug development costs, and specifically Clinical development

Responsibilities:

This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the job requirements at the time it was prepared.   • Responsible for the delivery and release of all pertinent documentation including but not limited to the Final Global Target Budget and Country Budgets. Review of Authority to Spend (ATS) documentation for each Investigator Grant Budget
  • Assist with communicating timelines with appropriate study team members and implement risk mitigation and contingency plan strategies on behalf of the study teams to ensure on-time document delivery
  • Provide operational and tactical support for the annual Standard Pricing Update
  • Manage and oversee key updates to supporting documentation, training, tools, and templates used in CTDC Budgets and Costing procedures.
  • Manage and update budget project tracker as appropriate, assisting the US Associate Director with delegation and prioritization of work across the DHDI Budgeting team.
  • Support the standing up of metrics tracking and dashboard utilization to measure KPIs for the CTDC Team, as well as potential support of analysis of data beyond costing and budgets as it relates to clinical trial performance (ie. Diversity Goals, enrollment metrics of Lilly trials, etc.)
  • Support efforts related to the Transformation of Investigator Grants budget development (the Grants transformation project.)
  • Support completeness of budgets including assumptions and cost drivers.
