ASSIGNMENT DESCRIPTION

The Position
The Senior Materials & Logistics Expeditor reports to KEP Logistic & T4 Equipment Manager within the contracts and procurement team and is a key member of the Kemerton Expansion Project’s (KEP) delivery team.
The Senior Materials & Logistics Expeditor will be mainly working of Perth CBD office with site visits as required & will be responsible for material requirements, expediting and coordination of logistics. This role will work with various stakeholders such as Engineering, Safety, QAQC, Logistics, Materials Management, Construction and Commissioning both in Perth and on site.

Job Description
The Position
The Senior Materials & Logistics Expeditor reports to KEP Logistic & T4 Equipment Manager within the contracts and procurement team and is a key member of the Kemerton Expansion Project’s (KEP) delivery team.
The Senior Materials & Logistics Expeditor will be mainly working of Perth CBD office with site visits as required & will be responsible for material requirements, expediting and coordination of logistics. This role will work with various stakeholders such as Engineering, Safety, QAQC, Logistics, Materials Management, Construction and Commissioning both in Perth and on site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for identification and tracking of material in line with ROS dates and coordination with package engineers, coordinators, procurement, and site team.
  • Work with package engineers, site supervisors, package coordinators for accurate materials list/requisitions/ orders, and demand to ensure all Project requirements contained within the Equipment Masters and Bulk materials lists are quantified, expedited, and traced and ensure the right materials are at the right place at the right time.
  • Responsible for the development, implementation, & tracking product lifecycle of all Project Materials
  • Collaborate with functional stakeholders to define data standards and govern processes for changes and ensure that any required changes input the materials database in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate internal materials ordering tool and drive enhancements to assist in identification of gaps including transportation, procurement, commodity management, purchasing, inventory, and forecasting supply and demand.
  • Coordinates, communicates and report all Logistics functions for the Project, including expediting, materials planning and management, preservation, OSDR, surplus and disposal.
  • Ensures all equipment and material items are picked up / stored / delivered in accordance with Project strategies and delivery schedule requirements.
  • Provide coverage for other logistics-focused roles at the site.
  • Work with suppliers, transport companies and site stakeholders to coordinate deliveries of a range of materials to site and movement of materials from site as required.
  • Develop and implement effective transport strategies and contingency plans to be used as part of Greenfields tendering and contracting activity.
  • Ensure that physical movements of goods to and from site are accurately captured in the site ERP system (SAP), through weighbridge and goods receipt activities.
  • Develop transport emergency response procedures in conjunction with suppliers and other site stakeholders.

WORK EXPERIENCE / TECHNICAL SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 5 years logistics operations experience, preferably in a manufacturing, mining or chemical environment.
  • SAP experience preferred.
  • EPCM or client-side experience & working in a green-fields or major brown-fields project environment highly regarded

EDUCATION / QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor of Science or similar preferred.
  • Proficient in MS OFFICE productivity software package (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project, MS Access, Teams, PowerBI)
  • A high regard for safety, including Chain of Responsibility obligations.
  • Excellent time management & multi-tasking skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work continuously under pressure and a strong sense of urgency.
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, team-oriented environment
