Description:
THE OPPORTUNITY:
Defence is undergoing a major transformation program of work to transition to a new Defence Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution.
KBR are seeking a highly skills Systems & Software Engineer to support Maritime Sustainment Division with its inputs to Defence ERP Tranche 3 scoping study related (but not limited) to complex engineering and maintenance programs, and to support activities associated with the transition of current systems into ERP solution.
Responsibilities:
- Provide expert level understanding of SAP configuration and functionality in the assigned business area(s)
- Coordinate the MSD response and inputs to the ERP Program Tranche 3 Complex Engineering and Maintenance (CEM) scoping study.
- Represent Maritime ERP at relevant forums and meetings, including providing a ‘back brief’ as necessary to the wider MSD ERP team, NSSG ERP, or members of the NSSG Engineering function.
- Develop an engagement plan (for CoA approval), and implement, to seek the required insights required to meet Defence ERP Program expectations for MSD contribution to the scoping study.
- Provide recommendations and develop any artefacts required in support of the scooping study (for CoA approval).
- To document and escalate for delegate approval any risks or issues that are identified relating to the ability for MSD to appropriately contribute to this scoping study.
- To work collaboratively with other Maritime stakeholders participating in this activity to ensure that the needs of MSD are captured and incorporated.
- Must consider ‘whole of MSD’ implications and requirements, including requirements to conduct sustainment, deliver acquisition projects into sustainment, and the challenges of ‘cross-class’ SPOs.
- Collaborate with other projects and SME’s to understand Navy Logistics Information Systems (NLIS) and existing Maritime processes to solicit appropriate input into the ERP scoping study
- Collegiate engagement with NSSG Engineering function, NAVY ERP team, NSSG ERP team, CASG ERP team
