KEY REQUIREMENTS:
Ambition, understanding and switched on to brands
Ability to interpret and bring and opinion to brand strategy
Understanding of publishing cycles and a working awareness of all major content channels
Previous brand or agency experience managing content channels with scale
Relevant experience working with brands as a social-first channel expert, including community management and content strategy/proposals
Experience working in an in FMCG/CPG environment
Ability to convey channel success and opportunities to senior stakeholders in a clear, jargon-free and compelling manner
Highly developed view of contemporary culture and understanding of the leading content platforms and channels
3+ years experience in social media management and content development
Travel to external and internal events or meetings will be required
This role is split across two markets and would require travel to the UK in an agreed regularity
Responsibilities:
Working as a shared role across Ireland and UK markets, this role is key in developing and deploying much of how key Ornua brands show up across social and digital properties. From providing market-appropriate nuance to global cascades making them fit-for-purpose and locally relevant, to co-developing and deploying content pillars and channel strategy, to activating a tone of voice through copywriting and community management, and giving recommendations on targeting and content placement, this channel expert leads on constantly innovating their brands’ role through a social and digital-first lens. You will be part of market team within a global matrixed organisation, and will lead on the development of market-originated content and activations as well as working with a community of social, digital and marketing experts across other key markets. You will be a voice at the table evangelising all aspects of social and digital content laddering up virtues of brand-building and business impact. You will help grow the brand by connecting with consumers, fostering a fandom, driving meaningful engagement and working with a team of brand managers and their agency partners. You will connect wider food trends, popular culture, audience behaviours with Ornua brands and products, linking your work across evergreen, campaign and ad hoc workstreams in an agile and flexible way.
