What you’ll be doing

SOCIAL MEDIA & BRAND COORDINATOR JOB DESCRIPTION

GGA is seeking an innovative and talented Social Media and Brand Coordinator to join our team of design professionals and industry-leading technical staff. This role is a full-time in-office position, reporting to the Team Lead, Marketing and Proposals. We are seeking a disciplined, creative and enthusiastic individual whose role will include, but is not limited to:

  • Create and share engaging, industry-relevant digital and written content for Social Media by posting on the following platforms: Instagram and LinkedIn
  • Draft concepts, design, write post copy, proof, and schedule engaging and creative content on all social media channels
  • Identify relevant or timely content opportunities by keeping up to date with industry trends, customer feedback and office events
  • Lead in the creation of original graphic content for social media accounts
  • Confirm accuracy of media content prior to posting
  • Prepare quarterly overview of social media performance
  • Support website and intranet blog posts as required
  • Source and propose GGA marketing merchandise
  • Ordering branded stationary supplies
  • Maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers
  • Use database system to manage content for GGA projects
  • Update print materials to support proposal and other marketing materials
  • Assist with proposal submissions when necessary
  • Assist with event planning as needed
  • Be a member of the social committee to encourage engagement with the staff
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Team Lead, Marketing and Proposals
  • Lead by example in all areas of work

QUALITIES & MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Post-secondary education or training in digital media management, communications, marketing or a related field
  • Experience in social media, creative with a proven background of achieving results
  • Experience with social media content management
  • Basic understanding of social media KPIs
  • Able to follow parameters set by individual projects and our clients
  • Passion for the quickly evolving social media environment
  • A professional and positive attitude
  • Interactive media experience with video and digital photography is an asset
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills with the ability to communicate with a wide variety of audiences
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for collaboration and teamwork.
  • Detail-oriented with ability to handle a wide variety of tasks and a multitude of competing demands under tight deadlines
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Intermediate skills with Adobe Creative Suite, specifically InDesign
  • Experience using Loomly and Canva
  • Event planning experience is an asset
  • Use of your personal cell phone and phone plan will be required to complete social media content uploads and transfer
