Description:

Description:The Social Media and Communication Manager will be responsible for managing our social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn; as well as supporting community-related events and sponsorships. Additionally, this position plays a key role in supporting our business development team with B2B marketing and client-related programs.

Requirements:

  • Responsible for complying with all laws, statues, rules, and regulations which govern the credit union; including but not limited to all components of the Bank Secrecy Act.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive social media strategies to increase brand awareness, engagement, and customer acquisition across all platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn).
  • Create and curate engaging content for social media posts, including graphics, videos, and written content.
  • Monitor and analyze social media metrics to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Stay up to date with the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices to ensure our platforms are optimize for success.
  • Support community-related events and sponsorships by developing marketing materials, coordinating logistics, and engaging with event attendees on social media.
  • Collaborate with the business development team to create B2B marketing materials, client related program, and promotional campaigns.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure brand consistence and alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Serve as brand ambassador for the credit union, actively engaging with followers and responding to inquiries and comments in a timely manner.
  • Other areas as directed by the CEO, CMO, or EMT.

Experience: Three years to five years of similar or related experience.
Education: (1) A bachelor’s degree, or (2) achievement of formal certifications recognized in the industry as equivalent to a bachelor’s degree (e.g., information technology certifications in lieu of a degree).
Interpersonal Skills: Motivating or influencing others is a material part of the job. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence and/or sell ideas or services to others. The role requires a significant level of trust or diplomacy.
Other Skills: • Proven track record of successfully managing social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn) for a brand or organization. • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to create engaging content for diverse audiences. • Experience with social media analytics tools and the ability to interpret data to drive strategy and decision-making. • Creative thinker with a passion for storytelling and brand building. • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams. • Ability to work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Physical Requirements: This position requires frequent bending, kneeling, and reaching at or below shoulder level. Some lifting is required (less than 50 pounds).
