SOCIAL MEDIA & CONTENT COORDINATOR

As we continue to grow our presence and engage our community, we are seeking a passionate and innovative Social Media & Content Coordinator to join our team.
As the Social Media Coordinator, you will be the driving force behind WA Cricket and the Perth Scorchers’ social media presence. Your mission is to ensure that our WA Cricket teams and the Perth Scorchers are the most engaging sporting team on social media by leveraging the latest trends, content forms, and storytelling mediums. You will create compelling content that resonates with our diverse audience, fostering a strong and vibrant online community.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Tertiary qualifications in videography, graphic design, marketing, journalism or a related field.
- Prior experience in digital media, social media, photography, videography or a related field
- In-depth understanding and passion for social and digital media with established platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, Tik Tok, X.
- Basic photography, videography and video editing
- High level communication skills to ensure key messages are shaped for a range of different audiences
- Prioritisation and the ability to work to tight deadlines under pressure
- Ability to develop and use metrics to determine the effectiveness of the social media strategy
- Ability to understand and meet stakeholder requirements
- Ability to build effective relationships with staff, service providers and stakeholders

Responsibilities:
- Work in the Digital Team assisting with growing the WA Cricket and Perth Scorchers digital platforms, in line with the social media strategy.
- Meet content demands and autonomously monitor and report on our social media channels, identifying trends and opportunities to ensure WA Cricket and Perth Scorchers grow social media engagement.
- Work with the Digital Team to develop content which supports department objectives such as membership and ticket sales, fan engagement and commercial obligations, using the latest trends, content types and storytelling mediums across social media channels. Including, but not limited to Instagram, Facebook, Tik Tok, X, YouTube and LinkedIn.
- Assist in filming and editing press conferences, cricket clinics, functions, events and High-Performance team training.
- Provide assistance with video productions, video shoots and media ops for WA Cricket and Perth Scorchers content
- Assist with the Digital Team’s in-season match delivery roles and requirements.
- When required travel with the playing teams. Attend matches, assist media and promote the club via social media content in the lead up, during and after games.
- Prepare regular social media reports, papers and other presentations as required.
- Develop and maintain content and social media schedules.
