The Social Media Designer is responsible for design and delivery of all social media design projects across the business from branding, asset creation, imagery needed and development of engaging visuals that are educational, persuasive, while using the brand guidelines and instructions.
Working along with the Global Social Media team, you will be part of the Global Design & Video team, where the markets covered are wide ranging in the finance ecosystem of StoneX and their products, services, and global campaigns.
This role is an opportunity to develop as a junior designer by engaging with some of the most experienced and insightful experts in the design and video world at a F100. By expanding our reach thoroughly into the social area field (LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, etc), the position will support our endeavour to be a global authority on the markets in these platforms.

Responsibilities:

  • Synthesize long-form and/or complicated market research for different social platforms into a visually appealing pieces of content.
  • Develop the rotation of diverse and insightful evergreen and topical information into design pieces, as well as a key member of the global social media committee (events, HR, video, etc.) for their contributions within the global social media calendar.
  • Work with Social Media Executives and team to ensure content, design and video maintains regulatory veracity and work with the Global Associate Creative Directors and our Global Creative Director who will manage the video and design needs to support you as you grow in development.
  • Attend and contribute to regular planning as well as meetings with other global stakeholders.
  • Consolidate designs used monthly for a global report 1-page slide that is shared across the business units in a Showreel email.
  • Develop and implement campaign-driven and long-term strategies within design for effective use of social media platforms that differ from each platform and can cross promote followers by providing various levels of different content on each and review social media platform data and publishing tools for maximized exposure for each post.
  • Attend the cross-functional, extended digital marketing team to ensure integration of social marketing activities with other strategies by working alongside our social media traffic expert as well as essential relationships with compliance and the workflow signoff proofing process.
  • Reference the social media content calendar, ensuring timely, relevant posts with months ahead evergreen and prioritizing topical with proactive design needs.
  • Work with the DX team as a resource as which designs get best traction or needs further development with your full Design team support.
  • Stay up to date with social media design best practices, trends, and technologies.
  • Maintain prompt and regular attendance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in design or related field required.
  • Some experience in designing for social media for an agency or company.
  • Excellent knowledge of social media channels
  • Must be detailed and pay special attention to delivering error-free work.
  • Proficient in using design tool (i.e. Adobe Suite)
  • Outstanding multitasking, time-management, and communications skills
  • Critical and creative thinker with strong problem-solving skills
  • Great communicator and team player
  • Practical knowledge of all design software tools
  • Ability to identify areas of weakness or potential problems and quickly implement problem-solving strategies to rectify the situation.
  • Must be authorized to work in the UK for any employer.
  • Must be able to work at the office in London, UK based on company policy.
  • Knowledge of using a D.A.M software tool would be beneficial, but not required or mandatory.
