Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of relevant content experience, inclusive of 1-2 years in a managerial role overseeing social media teams.
  • Proven track record in devising and executing social strategies with a flair for community engagement.
  • Profound understanding of social strategy and SEO, complemented by an enthusiasm for staying updated with the latest trends.
  • Proficiency in analyzing audience data and discerning behavioral trends. Familiarity with Google Analytics is an advantage.
  • A genuine passion for emerging media and a visionary approach to its potential.
  • Stellar organizational, communication, and multitasking abilities.
  • Resilient and composed, especially under pressure or tight deadlines.

Responsibilities:

THIS IS A HYBRID POSITION REQUIRING 3 DAYS IN THE PALMETTO, FLORIDA OFFICE/2-DAYS REMOTE. CANDIDATES MUST BE LOCAL OR RELOCATE TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS ROLE.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

As the Social Media Director, you’ll spearhead the development and implementation of our comprehensive social media strategy, ensuring alignment with our brand voice and objectives. Reporting directly to the SVP of Field Strategy, your role will be pivotal in leveraging content across various platforms to drive engagement, growth, and the overarching content narrative of the Organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Craft and implement robust social media strategies that amplify our brand’s presence, ensuring coherence with our brand’s voice and identity.
  • Content Creation & Management: Produce, curate, and oversee a rich mix of photo, video, and written content. Own the social media calendar and synchronize with the broader marketing initiatives.
  • Event Coverage: Attend key events to capture and produce live social media content, driving real-time audience engagement.
  • Team & Workflow Management: Steer our digital content team, fostering workflows that ensure 24/7 content availability tailored to each platform’s specificity.
  • Innovation & Trends: Stay ahead of the curve in understanding emerging trends, platforms, and tools in social media. Be the organization’s social media beacon, guiding us towards innovative solutions and strategies.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize metrics and analytical tools to inform content choices, strategic direction, and to ensure results are in line with our objectives.
  • Collaboration: Work in tandem with the entire media team to co-create captivating videos and content. Serve as a content resource for Sales during digital sponsorship campaigns.
  • Mentoring: Elevate the team’s capabilities by teaching best practices in content creation for various digital and social platforms.
