Responsibilities:

THE ROLE/PROFILE

Come and join Ocado as our Social Mead Lead and own our brand social media strategy. Now is a great time to take the reins of our approach to brand social - as we’re looking to shake up our content and be brave, bold and entertaining.
We’re looking to push the boundaries with exciting, disruptive content - and experiment with our tone of voice and overall approach to content. We want to have fun with Ocado’s personality and create a more distinct and playful tone of voice.
The role will line manage a social executive and work closely to our relationships with key partners like Nigella Lawson, Lisa Faulkner and our other influencers. It will also manage our social media agency and work hand-in-hand with our in-house creative team - especially our social content creator, as well as videographers, producers and copywriters who will support you with content development and creation.
The overall objective is to create brand love for Ocado!

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Inspire and be the champion for brand social media - taking our strategy, combining it with your own vision and ideas, and overseeing the creation of brilliant and super-engaging content for our social media channels
  • Taking an engaging and inventive approach, playing a key role in making our brand social media entertaining and fun
  • Keeping across all social media trends and jumping on key cultural moments and events
  • Manage, inspire and collaborate with our external social media agency - to make sure we’re getting the best possible work and working together as one team
  • Collaborate with our wider marketing team to make sure we’re all strategically aligned and working in synergy together
  • Look for opportunities for content and themes from across Ocado - including from our trading events and campaigns - and build great relationships with internal colleagues
  • Managing, scheduling and posting our social media content and looking after our brand social media budget - including influencers and boosting decisions
