SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER - MEAGHERS PHARMACY GROUP AND ASSOCIATED BRANDS

We have an exciting opportunity for a Social Media Manager to join Meaghers Pharmacy and Associated Brands, an award-winning community-based pharmacy Group with ten retail stores across Dublin, plus a busy eCommerce store. All under the inspirational leadership of Oonagh O’Hagan, Pharmacist, Owner, and Managing Director.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS FOR A SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER MAY INCLUDE:

  • Three years experience as a minimum with proven experience as a Social Media Manager or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of different social media platforms and their respective best practices.
  • Excellent written communication skills and the ability to craft engaging and persuasive content.
  • Experience with social media management tools and analytics platforms.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Understanding of branding and the ability to maintain brand consistency across different social media channels.
  • Familiarity with social media advertising and its targeting capabilities.
  • Ability to analyse data and generate insights to drive decision-making and optimize social media strategies.
  • Ability to be a team player and work on multiple projects with tight deadlines.

Responsibilities:

THE ROLE:

As a Social Media Manager, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring the organisation’s social media strategy to increase brand awareness, improve marketing efforts, drive engagement, and grow advertisement revenues through all social channels.
You will be responsible for the Social Media Strategy and creating, curating, and managing content across all social media platforms for Meaghers and its brand extensions. Planning and executing campaigns to help achieve the marketing and branding goals. This role involves developing Social Media Strategies, planning and scheduling posts, engaging with followers, analysing performance metrics, and staying up to date with social media trends. The Social Media Manager will be an integral part of the marketing team and will collaborate with other teams to ensure consistency in messaging and brand voice across all platforms.
Overall, as the Social Media Manager you will play a crucial role in leveraging social media platforms to connect with our community and our target audience, build brand awareness, drive website traffic, and ultimately contribute to the overall marketing and business objectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF A SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER INCLUDE:

  • Developing and executing social media strategies to achieve marketing goals and objectives.

  • Creating and curating engaging content for various social media platforms, such as TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, YouTube and Pinterest.

  • Managing and growing the social media community and following of Meaghers and achieve further engagement and the KPI’s set out.
  • Monitoring social media channels and promptly responding to inquiries, comments, and mentions and spotting trends relevant to our community to engage with.
  • Tracking and analysing social media metrics to gauge the success of campaigns and develop insights for improvement for future campaigns.
  • Collaborating with the marketing team to align social media strategies with overall marketing initiatives and business goals.
  • Staying up to date with the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices, and recommending innovative strategies to enhance the social media presence and community engagement.
  • Working with external partners to manage social media advertising campaigns and budgets to drive targeted traffic and conversions.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with brand advocates, industry partners, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Collaborating with and briefing key brand advocates and content creators to ensure adherence to brand guidelines in line with business goals.
