Description:

Reduce is seeking a Social Media Manager to help support and grow Reduce’s social media presence. Reporting directly to the Director of Social and PR, the Social Media Manager will execute Reduce’s social media strategy, craft and publish engaging social content, and own community management across all social channels.
We are looking for a creative, out-of-the-box builder who loves coming up with fresh ideas, exploring new social channels, and generating content that engages and excites. You have a deep understanding of the social media landscape and are on the pulse of social and cultural trends. You tend to send memes to your friends, know what’s going on in the world, and have a handle on trending topics and events. You have an eye for quality content, appreciate great creative, and love a pun. You have a can-do attitude, work well in fast-paced environments, and bring enthusiasm to everything you do.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

  • 2-4+ years of experience in developing social media content, supporting brand social media channels
  • Excellent understanding of social media platforms (TikTok, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, etc.), as well as their evolving platform and API changes
  • Impeccable writing skills — you’re able to take ideas and turn them into Instagram captions.
  • Solid eye for the visual manifestation of social content (photography, video, graphics, iPhone) and ability to bring an idea to life
  • Experience in community management, responding to customers quickly and effectively, and communicating as the voice of the brand online

Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day activities across all of Reduce’s organic social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, YouTube, and beyond)
  • Develop compelling social media assets (photo, TikToks, Reels, Stories, copy, graphics, etc) individually, with the social team, and alongside agencies
  • Manage monthly social media content calendar and handle publishing social media content across all platforms
  • Own community management across all brand social channels, proactively communicate with followers and fans, identify opportunities to engage audiences and jump into cultural conversations, and answer customer support inquiries
  • Monitor and share insights on social media landscape, cultural trends, relevant news and events, new technologies and platforms, etc
  • Support development and execution of influencer marketing campaigns and gifting opportunities alongside the Director of Social and PR
  • Manage paid boosting across social media platforms
