SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER (TEMPORARY CONTRACT), THE SINGAPORE WOMEN’S WEEKLY

Well-loved for keeping things real, The Singapore Women’s Weekly (SWW) is a trusted lifestyle media brand under SPH Media. We create useful, uplifting and relatable content for modern family women in Singapore. Our aim is to support and encourage them as they navigate life as a mum/wife/daughter-in-law in Singapore today. We are looking for a suitable candidate to join us as Social Media Manager (Temporary Contract).

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Deep level of familiarity and passion about social media content and all its formats (including social video)
  • Excellent command of English and Singlish (some knowledge of SG dialects is a bonus!)
  • Experience in copywriting and using mobile apps and AI tools to create designs and edit videos
  • Team player who thrives on producing responsive and impactful social content independently, and within tight deadlines
  • Strong sense of empathy and justice for busy mums and mums-to-be in Singapore
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, derive insights and make data-driven decisions
  • Proficiency in social media management tools and analytics background to provide strategic recommendations
  • Willing to experiment with new content types/formats and social media platforms
  • Background in journalism and news reporting is a plus
  • Hands-on experience in community management (such as community engagement, and social crisis monitoring) is a plus

Responsibilities:

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Staying on top of daily news in parenting, women’s issues and the local entertainment scene
  • Excited about creating compelling Instagram and social video content for the target audience
  • Producing timely and engaging Instagram content using tools such as Canva and social video editing apps
  • Managing day-to-day operations of all social media channels such as Instagram, Facebook, Telegram, adapting content to suit different channels
  • Overseeing, planning and delivering content across different social media platforms
  • Developing, launching and managing campaigns that promote the brand
  • Managing and facilitating social media communities by responding to social media posts and developing discussions
  • Monitoring, analysing and reporting on audience and performance on social media platforms using tools such as Google Analytics, Facebook, Instagram and Telegram insights
  • Tracking and analysing competitor activity
  • Recommending improvements to increase performance
  • Encouraging collaboration across teams and departments
