    The Social Media Marketing Associate supports the team in bringing our brand to life across our key social platforms.
    With a creative flair for content and ideas on how we can truly stand out on social and in the sea of sameness in the banking sector, this is an integral role in showcasing our new brand in a key channel. This will involve both paid and owned content and working with varied areas of the business to showcase who we are and what we do.

    The Brand and Customer strategy team is a multi-disciplinary team bringing together insights, strategy, brand and sponsorships experts.
    This team is responsible for defining the brand, marketing and customer strategy for Bankwest, utilising customer and campaign insights to navigate through the market context and capitalise on opportunities, ultimately helping realise our ambitious business goals.
    Your role within the team will be to support your social colleagues in the tasks of content planning, content creation, campaign development and reporting.

On any given day, you will:

  • Support the Social Media Marketing Manager and Social Channel Lead to in the day to day including planning content and campaigns that aligns to business and customer needs.
  • Take a lead role in the creation of organic social assets including but not limited to copy, tiles, GIFs, videos or new formats that are relevant across social.
  • Be a brand expert in how we do and don’t show up across social.
  • Support other areas of the business to bring their social content to life, including working with the customer care team to identify opportunities to solve common customer queries through content.
  • Stay on top of social media and content trends to ensure we are continuously pushing boundaries and operating at best practice levels both inside and outside the category.
  • Support in the delivery of ongoing social reporting against existing KPIs.

We’d love to hear from people who have:

  • Ability to design and edit content through the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite.
  • Experience or passion in developing engaging social content across a range of platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, Snapchat)
  • Understanding of the different user expectations of each social platform and how our content needs to shift to align.
  • High level of curiosity to understand how customers behave and what content they want to see.
  • Ability to utilise social reporting to gain insight into top performing content / creative and make content recommendations from these insights.
