We are looking for an enthusiastic Social Media Specialist with the ambition and creativity to join BTY’s Global Marketing Team. This is a full-time role based in Toronto/Vancouver within a flexible office/remote/work-from-home environment.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

  • A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in social media marketing, Digital Media Specialist roles, or related positions.
  • Possess a diploma or degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, New Media, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of online marketing principles and best practices.
  • Showcase a strong understanding of major social media platforms, including LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, and others.
  • Excellent B2B copy writing expertise geared to social content.
  • Proficiency in French is considered an asset
  • Showcase Project Management & work-planning prowess with a detail-oriented approach to tasks and projects, ensuring accuracy and precision in all social media initiatives.
  • Strong eye for design and experience working with Canva or similar design applications.
  • Strong understanding of planning, producing, capturing and editing video assets for social content.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license, and ability to conduct site visits locally for content capture. Occasional out of town travel may be required for key campaigns.

Responsibilities:

As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our social media strategy.

  • Formulate, execute, and oversee a comprehensive social media strategy by conducting competitive research, platform analysis, benchmarking, and audience identification.
  • Utilize social media listening tools to gather valuable insights and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Measure and report on the performance of social media campaigns.
  • Create and manage BTY’s corporate and key team member social media accounts
  • Propose, create, and edit engaging content, including image and infographic assets, social media friendly video clips, and knowledge sharing posts.
  • Develop annual social media calendars, collaborating proactively and regularly with internal teams to mine post ideas and themes, integrate diverse perspectives that align with organizational goals.
  • Generate, edit, publish, and share compelling daily content that fosters meaningful connections and encourages audience engagement.
  • Be live on site where applicable for major events to be featured on social, capturing footage & photos for use on social posts.
  • Set up and optimize company pages on each social media platforms to enhance the visibility of BTY’s content.
  • Moderate and actively engage with user-generated content in adherence with BTY policies and protocols.
  • Continuously improve social media performance by capturing and analyzing relevant data analytics, insights, and best practices.
