Description:

WHAT IT TAKES TO SUCCEED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field
  • Hospitality, theme park, zoo, or related industry experience preferred
  • 1+ years’ experience managing social media platforms, including content creation, management and reporting
  • Experience using social media management platforms preferred (Spinklr, Hootsuite, etc)
  • Experience using Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and Premiere Pro preferred
  • Experience with content creation, photography, videography – and editing a plus
  • Have a valid Driver’s license and able to meet company driving guidelines
  • Able to lift, push, pull and/or carry up to 50 lbs
  • Perform the following physical activities: kneeling, squatting, bend floor-to waist/waist-to-overhead, reach overhead, simple grasp and fine hand manipulation tasks (use of tools/keyboard/writing)
  • Able to work indoors and outdoors, in varying weather, to include extreme heat.
  • Work regularly Monday through Friday but with flexibility based on business need to include weekends, evenings, and holidays
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint and Microsoft Office 365
  • Familiarity with social media platforms, organic social media, and paid social media
  • Ability to multitask, while being highly organized, and managing multiple work streams while supporting administrative needs for the team
  • Demonstrates adaptability and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Possess strong customer service skills, along with timely and accurate follow up

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, write, and edit engaging, channel-specific social media content for a variety of digital platforms and diverse audiences
  • Manage content calendars as needed, adjusting to best fit our communication strategies
  • Manage weekly and monthly reporting to further analyze social media performance
  • Coordinate with in-park teams and photo-video resources to capture assets for social channels
  • Curate user-generated content on a weekly basis to be used on social channels
  • Community management and monitoring of brand social media channels and regular collaboration with guest services to field customer inquiries
  • Maintain industry knowledge and keep up to date on social media trends, platform features, and best practices
  • Manage and update database of media contacts, including media contact lists
  • Support new campaigns through proactive media outreach across print, broadcast, and online outlets across family, travel, lifestyle, consumer, targeted trade outlets
  • Review and manage incoming community relations requests
  • Direct photo/video shoots in park
  • Assist with other duties, included office assistance as needed
  • Communicate professionally with Ambassadors, Vendors, and our Guests
  • Serve as a key player in the annual marketing planning process including new attractions, shows, events, culinary locations, and other park initiatives
  • Must be comfortable on camera
  • Perform other duties as assigned
