We have an amazing opportunity for an experienced Social Worker join our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) in Weaton Ashton, Stafford. Working as part of a dedicated and supportive Multidisciplinary Team, you will manage the service provision for a defined caseload of young people. Responding to requests for assessments and review of need working in partnership with our Young People, their families and other professionals as agreed within the multi-disciplinary team and Lead Social Worker/Social Work Manager.
At Ivetsey Bank Hospital we support young people who are experiencing significant mental health difficulties requiring inpatient admission. We have a total of 37 beds across three wards: one Psychiatric Intensive Care Ward, one General Adolescent Ward and one Specialist Eating Disorder Ward.

Responsibilities:

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

  • Act as care co-ordinator in line with Active Care Groups standards
  • Develop and deliver evidence based packages of care including specific psychosocial interventions where appropriate
  • Undertake carers assessment and care planning
  • Maintain contemporaneous health and social care records
  • Lead the provision of therapeutic group work as indicated by the needs of our young people
  • Provision of case reports when required (e.g. for courts, mental health review tribunals / managers hearings, case reviews, enquiries, etc) and attending case discussions, conferences and reviews as required including those integral to adult and child protection procedures
  • Providing patients, relatives and carers with information and support regarding entitlements to statutory benefits
  • Conforming at all times to the Policies and Procedures of the Company, with particular regard to confidentiality, financial and administrative responsibilities, and treat residents, colleagues and visitors with dignity and respect at all times
