The Information Services team is a diverse and experienced team of IT professionals who lead day to day functional and operational services and programs, designs and influences technology solutions to meet operational and strategic outcomes and leverages the relationship with Monash University to provide best in class service to our staff.

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to the Systems Development Manager this role will play an important part developing and supporting technical solutions that will automate and simplify the technical landscape.
The role will develop and maintain key components of the Monash College software suite using Microsoft .Net, SQL Server and SharePoint Server. It is a highly collaborative role which involves liaising with developers, solutions architects, solutions designers, Business Intelligence Analysts and the broader Information Services team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Utilise application management software and tools to collect agreed performance statistics and carry out agreed applications maintenance tasks
  • Prioritise and diagnose incidents according to agreed procedures and investigate causes. Seek resolution, escalate and facilitate recovery. Document and close resolved incidents
  • Investigate problems in systems, processes and services. Assist with the implementation of agreed remedies and preventative measures
  • Leverage toolset to drive systems alerting processes – empowering support teams, automating escalation and facilitating rapid diagnosis.
  • Design, code, verify, test, document, amend and refactor complex programs/scripts and integration software services
