Responsibilities:
The diagnostic system is distributed onboard and offboard the vehicle. It includes backend, cloud services, data bases offboard and detection mechanisms, fault management, telematics and information systems. Its purpose is not only to support user and workshop when a fault is present, but also to collect data that mirrors the health of each vehicle as well as a vehicle fleet to decide on vehicle SW updates.
Your SW architecture skills are needed to control how the SW solutions shall be designed based on knowledge of each nodes specific data structure and layers. To mitigate the security threats presented to a complex vehicle control system, we need solid solutions implemented from backend via cloud to all nodes onboard the car. In cooperation with other architects within own and external organization you will secure that our future systems have the capability to withstand all kind of threatful attacks on our vehicles. To succeed you need to fully understand the systems we have, identify improvement possibilities, understand the existing security strategies and of course maintain full knowledge of how threats develops in the environment we operate.
Progress is supported through a collaborative approach where a lot of interaction, visualization and communication is the way to secure common understanding and allow iterations with all stakeholders.
