Position: Software Business Analyst
Hours: Monday to Friday; 8:30am - 5:00pm EST

We currently require a Dynamic, Smart and Results oriented individual for our Software Business Analyst located Remotely. We are a national provider of workplace medical testing and assessments based in Ayr, Ontario. We have Occupational Health Clinics in Kitchener, Sarnia, Mississauga, Calgary, Nisku, Edmonton and Fort McMurray. Create a healthier and safer world by ensuring the products DriverCheck offers to its clients are safe and simple to use. Ensure efficient communication between stakeholders and development team to deliver high quality software that meets requirements and timelines.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Communicate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and their impact.
• Work with Technical leads to transform the business requirements into new software workflows and technical specification.
• Understands and communicates technical and architectural complexities of a technical solution so that project stakeholders can easily understand.
• Capability of clarify business needs, priorities and impact to Technical Leads and software developers.
• Capability of inform business stakeholders of the status of a project, including expected timelines.
• Assess new incoming feedback from several sources and stakeholders; then negotiate and prioritize it according to effort needed to solve vs impact.
• Maintain, organize, and prioritize backlog and roadmap.
• Complete Software Development Life Cycle and can apply the applicable portions of the Intake, Discovery, Execution and Stabilization phases.
• Drive projects, monitor their progress and health and follow up and collaborate with technical leads to ensure timelines are met
• Communicate to stakeholders and leadership any impact on timelines promptly to adjust the project plans and roadmaps
• Create project charters, update project boards, and provide formal project updates
• Work with the Product Owner to prioritize requirements and make tradeoffs to deliver a quality product successfully in a timely basis
• Produce documentation and materials to support project implementations

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THE ROLE:

• 3 years’ experience as a software business analyst
• BS/BA in Computer Science or Information Systems or Business Management, or equivalent
• Able to complete cost benefit analysis
• Understanding of business processes
• Experience with Software Development Live Cycle
• Experience with conflict resolution
• Experience with Project Management
• Attention to detail
