POSITION SUMMARY:

Our Redmond-based client is looking for a Software Design Engineer for a remote based position.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement secure, scalable cloud infrastructure on Azure, with a focus on AKS, PostgreSQL, and Azure Functions.
  • Utilize Helm charts for efficient deployment and management of applications on AKS, optimizing container orchestration.
  • Leverage Azure Container Service to build, deploy, and manage containerized applications, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Develop and maintain Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines, automating deployment processes to enhance productivity and reduce errors.
  • Implement comprehensive logging and monitoring solutions using Kusto, Geneva, and Prometheus to ensure operational excellence and timely issue resolution.
  • Collaborate with development teams to define infrastructure needs, employing Azure best practices to achieve project goals effectively.
  • Lead security and compliance initiatives, conducting regular audits, vulnerability assessments, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Document all infrastructure configurations, deployment processes, security measures, and compliance protocols.

Qualifications:

  • Must have 4+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering with a strong focus on Azure cloud services.
  • Must have bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required to be eligible for this role.
  • Must have hands-on experience with Azure Container Service, Helm deployments for AKS, and a solid background in Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
  • Proficiency in logging and monitoring with tools such as Kusto, Geneva, and Prometheus is essential. This role also demands a strong commitment to security and compliance, ensuring our cloud infrastructure is robust, scalable, and adheres to industry standards
  • Expertise in AKS, Helm deployments, Azure Functions, and Azure Container Service.
  • Should be proficient in Azure DevOps CI/CD pipeline creation and management.
  • Should have 4+ years of experience with logging and monitoring tools such as Kusto, Geneva, and Prometheus.
  • Demonstrated ability in implementing security and compliance measures within cloud environments.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt to a rapidly changing technology landscape.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, capable of working effectively with cross-functional teams
