Position Description: The selected candidate plays a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions to support the technological needs and initiatives of the church. This position involves collaborating with internal stakeholders to identify requirements, implementing innovative solutions, and ensuring the reliability and security of church software applications. This is a full-time position and reports to the Communications Director.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Be in a dynamic and growing relationship with Jesus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field.
  • Prior experience in software development, preferably in a church or ministry setting.
  • Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery is a must.
  • Familiarity with Wordpress, Divi theme/website builder and software that includes Adobe Suite, Figma, etc.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to changing project requirements and priorities.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively in a team environment.
  • Proven ability and commitment to work collaboratively with other leaders & staff.
  • Committed to the mission and vision of CCC.

Responsibilities:

  • Design web page layouts and templates.
  • Utilize data and analytics in making design decisions.
  • Create and maintain a database of design assets.
  • Use markup languages like HTML to create user-friendly web pages.
  • Maintain and improve church (and church plant) websites.
  • Optimize web applications for maximum speed.
  • Design mobile-first features.
  • Create quality mockups and prototypes.
  • Stay up to date on emerging technologies in web design and development.
  • Design and build email templates in Mailchimp.
  • Manage and maintain access to digital communication systems (Mailchimp, Clearstream, etc.).
  • Provide training to staff as necessary.
  • Manage mobile apps (create messages, notes, helpful links, etc.).
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Communications Director.
