Description:

SIG is seeking a software developer to help us build out our high frequency market data distribution platform. You will have the opportunity to work closely with strategy and infrastructure development teams both in our Bala Cynwyd headquarters and our international office. You’ll be part of a team that is building a multi-threaded C++, high performance and low latency platform Windows architecture that manages high volumes of inbound and outbound messages – with data rates exceeding multi-million messages per second. While the bulk of your programming will be in C++, you’ll also have a chance to work with C#, python and a range of different middleware products.

In this role you will:

  • Research, design and develop functional and technical design specifications using knowledge of object oriented programming in a heterogeneous technology environment using C++
  • Create and modify procedures and practices in an autonomous fashion.
  • Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.
  • Modify existing software to correct errors, to adapt it to new hardware or to upgrade interfaces and improve performance.
  • Provide training for new procedures and develop an understanding of the relevant aspects of the business domain (problems, activities, processes) and apply that understanding to maximize technology value
  • Engage in problem definition, decomposition, and solutions definition within the scope of the application.
  • Provide support for applications once they are deployed into the production environment

What you can expect from us:
Real Impact: By integrating sophisticated coding techniques with innovative engineering ideas, we design and optimize systems that can process massive amounts of data while still ensuring high performance and stability. You’ll see how your contributions towards developing and supporting leading-edge hardware and software technologies make a firm-wide impact that makes us all smarter, faster, and better.
Collaboration: You will partner closely with our Strategy Developers and Quantitative Researchers to translate complex trading problems into scalable and highly performant hardware solutions.
Growth: For many of our roles, we don’t expect you to have prior industry experience in proprietary trading or financial services to succeed at Susquehanna International Group. We’re looking for people who are naturally curious, relentless problem solvers, and have the desire to continuously innovate, learn, and grow.
Benefits: SIG offers a wide array of competitive employee perks & benefits.

What we’re looking for

  • Experience with and a demonstrated understanding of Object oriented design and software development in a high-performance / high throughput environment using C++ (preferably on Windows) required
  • Knowledge of networking concepts and/or network programming
  • Thorough understanding of full life-cycle development and performance optimization/latency reduction methodologies
  • Familiarity with Linux is a plus

About SIG
