ASSIGNMENT DESCRIPTION

• Client is heading towards being a data drive company, where one of the key contributors is the new IT Platform, called Omnia.
• Omnia is based on Microsoft Azure. The Omnia Industrial IoT Team is one of several teams established to develop this platform.
• The team has the main responsibility to develop and/or utilize technology to handle operational/industrial data from our on- and offshore plants, and further provide those data for internal and external consumers.
• The Omnia Industrial IoT team is organized as an autonomous DevOps team with lifecycle responsibility for the services in scope for team.
• The team is small, focused and highly recognized, with 4-5 developers full time. Architect, Business analyst and Product Owner working as part of team on daily basis.
• One of the developers is currently handling team lead/scrum master role.
• People in team is a mix of internal and external resources.
• The service is developed with an “API first” mindset, meaning that the API’(s) used by internal and external customers is the main product exposing the “Omnia Industrial IoT platform”.
• We focus on delivering high quality, partly enabled by automated tests and deploy pipelines.
• Most of the things developed are backend/platform, supported by some frontend tools that we develop for self-service, admin and monitoring.
• Company is now looking to strengthen the team with 1 developer, with the following tasks and responsibilities.
• Design and develop scalable data service for high volume sensor data and related IoT data.
• Develop in this context is mix of SW engineering (coding) and utilization of platform services (provided by MSFT or 3rd party / Open Source).

QUALIFICATIONS

• Experienced SW Engineering/Developer
• Programming languages: C#, Python
• Preferably some Azure experience
• Familiarity with Postman / RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with GitHub
