Description:

Job Title: Bilingual Software Developer
Duration: 1 year with 2 optional extensions
Clearance: Valid security clearance and eligibility for “secret” clearance
Location: Hybrid, Ottawa, ON (8 onsite visits per month)
We are seeking a talented Bilingual Software Developer for a project with one of Crown Corporation clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the design and implementation of automation tests for various testing levels, contributing to continuous testing practices, and supporting software development initiatives related to Commercial-Off-the-Shelf (COTS) applications and their integrations, including specialized cash processing solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the team with the design and implementation of automation tests for component, integration, and system testing.
  • Introduce new approaches to existing/planned testing in relation to the automation framework.
  • Provide detailed configuration and descriptions for passing and failing tests.
  • Ensure the quality of routine operations processes by monitoring and improving the health of test automation systems and their integration.
  • Support continuous testing practices within the team.
  • Provide support by helping to resolve, triage, and redirect incidents and service requests, as required.
  • Assist the team on various software initiatives, including new deployments, bug fixes, enhancements, and upgrades related to various COTS applications and their integrations, including highly specialized cash processing solutions.
  • Assist the team in various software development life cycle (SDLC) activities, including software development, testing, and deployment.
  • Other activities and deliverables as required.

REQUIREMENTS:

Must-haves:

  • A university degree or college diploma in computer science, engineering, or related discipline.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of Developer experience.
  • Demonstrated experience working within technical support teams.
  • Proficiency in Python, Git, MuleSoft, and SQL.

Nice-to-haves:

  • Demonstrated experience working with COTS applications and system integrations.
  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum and/or DevOps methodologies.

Responsibilities:
