THE ROLE

Hybrid Work Setting out of our Calgary Office with the flexibility work 3 days in office.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL

Work on both the front and backend, collaborating closely with our Product, UX and Architecture teams to create an amazing experience for our Evo customers. We value diversity and foster a collaborative environment that encourages out-of-the-box thinking.
You will be joining a highly skilled, highly productive team of scientists and developers; many of us are both. We are friendly and intelligent, and we are looking forward to working with you. Our developers support open-source software, and we support and contribute to many projects.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, YOU SHOULD HAVE:

• Minimum 3 years of cloud development experience in a backend or full stack role.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or equivalent.
• Experience building single page applications and a strong understanding of both front and backend cloud architecture and design principles.
• You contribute as a member of a multi-disciplinary self-organizing Scrum team, including helping estimate work, performing code reviews, testing, problem-solving, and retrospecting to continually improve our effectiveness

Technologies Used:

• Cloud-based systems, ideally including Microsoft Azure.
• Python, RESTful APIs, Terraform, Azure and Kubernetes
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases (i.e. PostgresQL, MongoDB, MySQL, SQL Server).
• Experience with CI/CD Pipelines (e.g., Github Actions, Jenkins, CircleCI, Azure DevOps Pipelines, etc.).
• HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript; with a focus on React and Redux is considered an asset.
