Software Developer, Senior (COBOL)

Trilogy Innovations is seeking a Senior Software Developer with COBOL experience to support our federal customer located in Clarksburg, WV. This is an exciting opportunity to join our growing team, while taking part in a multi-year initiative to modernize our federal customer’s large-scale IT systems. This role requires at least a Secret Security Clearance, and primary work location is remote.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develops, creates, and modifies general computer applications software or specialized utility programs.
• Analyzes user needs and develops software solutions.
• Designs or customizes software for client use with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency.
• Analyzes and designs databases within an application area, working individually or coordinating database development as part of a team.
• Researches, designs, develops, and tests operating systems-level software, compilers, and network distribution software for medical, industrial, military, communications, aerospace, business, scientific, and general computing applications.
• Sets operational specifications and formulates and analyzes software requirements.
• Designs embedded systems software.
• Applies principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s Degree with 8 years of work experience.
• Active Tier 3 Secret clearance.
• Experience with AWS, Java, XML is preferred
• Experience with COBOL required.
• Experience working in a IBM z14 mainframes, zOS operating system, CICS, DB2, Cobol and Java environment desired.
• Experience working in an agile environment
