Description:

EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Sciences or Engineering.
  • Professional programming certification in a mainstream programming language is a plus.
  • Minimum of 3 years software engineering experience in a development capacity preferably using a mainstream development Object Orientated language such as Java, Springboot & Microservices, Kafka, Mango, MySQL
  • Experience with Git and source control
  • Knowledge of Application Programming Interfaces (API’s)
  • Experience working in an Agile DevOps environment
  • Experience with AzDo and CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
  • Interest in learning Azure/AWS cloud technologies
  • Previous Web UI experience

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM:

As a Software Developer, reporting to the delivery lead, you will be part of a team that works in the Communication and Data Exchange BU.
This team is responsible for collecting, aggregating and delivering data in a secure, scalable and timely manner to many applications both internal and external to SITA.
We are a culturally and internationally diverse team, and we have achieved a great deal in a short space of time. We have big ambitions for our Data & API and Messaging product line, and we are looking to meet innovative and enthusiastic people to help us.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Writes and delivers code for functionality and features in application modules and debugs existing code.
  • Follows coding guidelines and practices and all technical processes.
  • Develops and validates estimates for technical work that will be undertaken.
  • Participates in analysis of requirements for designing new application and system features and also analyzes and triages defects on an as needed basis.
