Description:

Position Summary:
Segue Technologies, Inc. seeks a Software Developer to join our team supporting Scott Air Force, Illinois. Duties will include software development and maintenance for the Distribution Component Billing System (DCBS). This is a full-time position, with remote/onsite work opportunities.

Job Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to :

  • Responsible for the development of customized scripts to assist in the implementation of application builds, releases, and deployment.
  • Configuration management activities.
  • Assist with the integration, troubleshooting, and testing of implemented software changes.
  • Provide software development support to maintain an internal continuous integration process in a complex virtual machine environment.
  • Engineer scripts to support building and test plan execution.
  • Participate in the full life-cycle of software development following an Agile process, including requirements development, modeling and design, application development, code peer reviews, unit testing, integration, formal system testing, release, installation, and maintenance.
  • Meet established deadlines.
  • Additional tasks as required.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT Systems, Engineering or another technical field, or related major. Relevant technical experience may be substituted for the bachelor’s degree.
  • 5+ years of software engineering, development or programming experience.
  • Experience developing software/writing code in Java, Python, JavaScript, HTML, and C#.
  • Experience performing Configuration Management and working with CM tools (ex: Jira)
  • Experience working with Linux, UNIX, and Windows 11.
  • Experience working with Adobe ColdFusion 2021 Enterprise and ColdFusion tools.
  • Experience with Oracle SQL Developer, Structured Query Language (SQL), and Procedural Language (PL)/SQL.
  • Experience with virtualized systems (VMWare).
  • Knowledge of Agile software development and Cloud principles and processes.
  • Experience using Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Edge, and Microsoft Office (Excel, etc).
  • Must hold an active DoD Interim Secret or Secret level clearance.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Able to work independently and identify solutions to complex problems.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with migrating Unix systems to AWS Cloud.
  • Full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) experience within an Agile process and working with Agile teams.
  • Ability and willingness to train on AWS Cloud and Agile development processes to become proficient with AWS CloudOne migration and deployments.
