Software Developer
Tibra Capital is a leading proprietary trading firm that specializes in quantitative trading across global financial markets. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Python Developer to join our team in Wollongong.
As a Python Developer at Tibra Capital, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-performance trading systems and algorithms. You will work closely with our talented team of traders, quants, and developers to design and implement cutting-edge solutions that drive our business forward. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where your contributions directly impact our trading strategies and profitability.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in Python, with 3+ years of hands-on experience.
- Experience working with large, complex codebases and maintaining high-performance systems.
- Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
- Experience with python frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask and Quart
- Good understanding of testing including PyTest, Integration, Unittest.
- Experience working with Kafka for data streaming and message queueing
- Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration of applications
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Experience in the financial industry and familiarity with trading concepts is a plus

Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain scalable and reliable Python code for our trading systems.
- Collaborate with traders and quants to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Optimize trading systems and applications through performance profiling and code optimization.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of new infrastructure and technologies
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to teammates.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve our systems.
