The University of Luxembourg (UL) is seeking to hire a Software Developer within the ExAILe project “Examples based AI Legal Guidance” led by Dr. Tomer Libal. Within the university, ExAILe is a multi-disciplinary and international project between Computer Science and Law. The two partners of the project, the university of Luxembourg and the AGH university in Krakow, combine skills in different AI approaches in order to solve a key problem for access to justice. Namely, the ability of all to understand and interpret regulations.

Responsibilities:

We are seeking a highly-motivated Software Developer in Full Stack to develop a proto-type based on the technologies produced by this research.

To this end, one Software Developer will be hired on the project to conduct the following tasks:

  • Build a chatbot combining machine learning and formal methods
  • Build a case law spider capable of extracting case law into JSON format, including their translation into English
  • Create a case law index for use by the chatbot
  • Develop machine learning algorithms for case retrieval and analysis
